Simple Controls
Growth
Growth controls how developed the effect becomes.
Turn it up to make the selected Flora more present, complex and overgrown. Lower settings stay restrained, while higher settings push the effect toward unruliness.
Sap
Sap controls the Flora’s fluidity, persistence and richness.
Depending on which Flora is active, higher Sap settings will make the effect feel fuller, smoother and more connected over time, sometimes with longer tails and more lingering movement.
At high Sap, the plant feels well-watered and lush. At low Sap, the plant feels crunchy and brittle.
Fiber
Fiber controls structure and stiffness.
Again, depending on the Flora, lower settings generally feel softer and more flexible, while higher settings make the effect tighter and more rigid.
Five Floras
-
Soft, dense and wide.
Moss absorbs and diffuses sound into a rich bed of resonances, adding body and texture without taking over the foreground.
-
Quick, bright and reactive.
Grass responds clearly to transients and individual notes, adding lively comb-like movement and sharper rhythmic character.
-
Winding, persistent and tangled.
Vine stretches resonances through time, creating longer, delay-like movement that twists around the input and keeps growing.
-
Warm, wavy and collective.
Reed moves like a field in the wind, creating broad, rippling motion that works on both rhythmic and melodic material.
-
Distinct, wide and expressive.
Bloom pulls resonant harmonics from the input and plants them as flowers. Each bloom opens gradually, blossoming and decaying over its lifetime.
Made to be played with
Chlorophyll was designed around clean electric guitar.
Feed it a clear, dynamic signal and it responds to the way you play — notes, transients, sustain, and movement all influence how the effect develops.
Under the surface, each Flora uses its own combination of resonance, filtering, delay, modulation, envelope-following, and harmonic processing. You don’t need to think about any of that. Just pick a plant, turn up Growth, and shape the result with Sap and Fiber.
